Interior lighting has become a more and more complicated subject over the latter half of the century. In the past, people would simple use whatever kinds of interior home lighting they could put together, and before the twentieth century, many people simply went to bed around the time that the sun went down. During present times, of course, we are up at all hours of the day, and even when the sun is up we want different forms of interior light fixture that we can use to see what we are doing as clearly as possible. We even have interior lighting in our cars, such as an VW Bora interior light, RV interior lights, neon interior car lights, car interior led lights, an auto interior book light and so on. Some people even go so far as to have an interior mail box light so they can see what is inside their mail box more easily when they check it in the evenings or at night.
Interior lighting design in the east and the west are remarkably similar these days, with the kind of lighting that one is able to find in eastern countries such as Japan being almost identical in many respects to modern western interior lighting. Interior lighting elements can basically be broken down into two categories - those lighting elements that are designed to produce diffuse light / an overall ambient light that fills the room and sets a basic lighting level, and those lighting elements that make a harder kind of light which can be used to focus on things that are close to you, or to bring out the accents and the shape of the room. Usually you have some kind of diffuse light which is positioned high and in the center of a room, and you have various smaller lights around the room that are more like point sources of light - generally these will be incandescent if the above light is fluorescent. Together you get a good combination of light sources that makes it easy to find your way around. Also, by being able to turn on one or the other depending on the time of day you can get the optimal light level in the room without wasting electricity.
Interior design lighting in modern bedroom environments uses these same general principles. There are various kinds of unusual interior lighting devices that you can get such as an interior light box to provide diffuse lighting that can also be directed where you want it to go, and interior led accent lights that can be used to show where the bounds of the stairs are (if you want to be able to see them clearly when you get up in the middle of the night) or where the doors are. Good luck finding the right lighting implements for your interior lighting project.
